Sachin Shaan is a New York City–based stand-up comedian featured at the New York Comedy Festival and on TV Asia. A Comedy Cellar–trained performer, he appears regularly at top NYC clubs including Greenwich Village Comedy Club and Broadway Comedy Club. He is also the co-creator of The Surprise Show, a TimeOut NY Critics’ Pick featured in Page Six that has hosted Jim Gaffigan, Nikki Glaser, Colin Quinn, and Hasan Minhaj.

“Experimenting” since 2013

Sachin has been doing stand-up since 2013 — though according to his immigrant parents, he is still “experimenting.” Born and raised in Connecticut (yes, really), he jokes about being told to “go back to your country,” looking like the assistant manager of a Verizon Wireless store, and why becoming a “Chief Entertainment Officer” somehow doesn’t count as being a CEO.

TV-Clean Comedy

His TV-clean comedy draws from his overachieving South Asian upbringing, nerdy high school failures, panic attacks at 30,000 feet, and meeting his wife during covid — a relationship that went from FaceTime to marriage in a year, because even a global pandemic wasn’t delaying his parents’ timeline.
